Shreyas Talpade made a phenomenal Bollywood debut with Nagesh Kukunoor's Iqbal. Hi rendition of a deaf youngster aspiring to be a cricketer won him resounding applause and a Zee Cine Critics Award for best actor. Shreyas Talpade had arrived.

Shreyas was not one to rest on his past accolades, he followed the mega success of Iqbal with another terrific performance, this time as a comic character in Nagesh Kukunoor's Dor. Shreyas won his second big award with this film - the Star Screen Award for Best Actor in a Comic Role.

Shreyas's next, Sangeeth Sivan's Apna Sapna Money Money was a box office success and Shreyas Talpade proved his commercial viability as an actor for the masses.

In 2007, Shreyas starred in his first blockbuster, Farah Khan's, Om Shanti Om. The film saw Shreyas in a supporting role, sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan. Om Shanti Om was a mega success, and Shreyas bagged yet another award, the Max Stardust Award for Breakthrough Performance.

This humble and hardworking actor's journey into stardom has just begun, and with more than four big productions in his kitty, it is safe to say that Shreyas Talpade has a long way to go.
