Hrithik Roshan

Hrithik Roshan was born to be a superstar. Son of yesteryears actor and successful Bollywood director, Rakesh Roshan, Hrithik was a child artiste and an assistant director to his father before he made his debut as an actor... and what a debut that was!

With the year 2000's biggest film, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, as his launch, Hrithik was instantly catapulted to A-list stardom. The film was a smash hit, winning a record 102 awards that year; Hrithik won the best debut and the best actor award, besides putting the entire country into a state of fanatic frenzy.

Hrithik followed this up with a spate of big banner films, some super successes and some average grossers, but his work was always appreciated. Koi Mil Gaya, Lakshya, Krrish... with such different genres of cinema, Hrithik continued to establish his credibility as an actor, endorsed by box office brilliance and a spate of awards.

Dhoom 2 gave Hrithik a completely new image. Hrithik worked hard to fit the character he was playing and did so brilliantly. His chiselled body and Greek God looks were a rage; Hrithik was yet again hailed as Bollywood's best actor, best dancer, best looking man etc.

Having reached a position that makes even the most established veterans insecure, the boy still has his head firmly screwed on to his shoulders. He still goes around learning and taking tips from his seniors. A thorough gentleman, Hrithik has never let any of his successes affect him. He is clearly one of the most humble, hardworking and down to earth human beings in the Indian film industry.
